power hour

Friday 17th October, The Power Hour

Given the modest turnout the first power hour has become an absolute legend already, given all the boasting before hand and the tall stories of distances travelled in the time frame (by the people that did not turn up) the dedicated few gathered and rose to the challenge.

They say an hour is a long time in politics, well  its not fucking long enough in a car when its dark and you are a bit lost looking for a sign of the nearest village to take a picture of,before you can head back the way you have come, hoping not to miss the turning you only just found by chance when you were there 10 minutes ago.

Of course being the time keepers we were slightly hindered as we only had 38 minutes to play with not the full time of 60 minutes, however we did not embarass ourselves too badly, although i would like to apologise to my navigator for using 5/4's of the road around a few unexpected corners.

So what about the others then, well we can see the winner, we cant put the pictures up of his speedo, but they are quite interesting! he went for the long straight road approach admirable enough if  you have the bottle to drive them like that, so congratulations to you sir! you recieve the universal fuel vouchers this time around.

Cj had the same approach only more traffic to deal with, which we later found out had something to do with roundabouts and a more continental approach to going round them. By the way if anyone finds chewbacca, han is missing him!

And Jonboy quietly unasuming and very nearly getting the second from CJ, went half and half down the mains than off into the turny bits, a good effort there mate.

Well the date is posted for the next one, if you think you can compare then come along, if you just talk a good drive don't bother...
